SonkoLend lends to members of chamas that have registered and pledged cover. That is why there is no open sign-up: your chama vouches for you, and you borrow against its pledge. Pick the option that matches you.
I have an invite code
Your chama's secretary sent you a code by SMS. Redeem it with your phone number and you are in.

A chairperson or officer registers the chama in about 30 minutes. Our team reviews it, and the officers then invite the members.

- A short identity check: your national ID number and a selfie.
- Pick a product and an amount, and see the full repayment schedule before you submit.
- Your chairperson approves, then SonkoLend approves.
- You sign with an SMS code and the money is sent to your M-Pesa.
Not in a chama?
SonkoLend currently lends only through registered chamas. Any group of savers can register one; registration is free and the officers stay in control.
